Team Conflict Resolution Strategies
NOVEMBER 16, 2019, Lagos
Conflict in a workplace is a strong barrier for team work. Conflict breaks cooperation, and the whole organization’s mission is threatened by it. The good news is that by resolving conflict successfully, you can solve many of the problems that it has brought to the surface, as well as getting benefits that you might not at first expect.
Workplace conflicts are very common; there are very few offices where all the employees get along. Because of this, conflict resolution is a necessary component of the workplace, and those in a leadership position must be skilled in conflict resolution techniques.
When conflicts go unaddressed, they can have a negative impact on productivity and teamwork. Using conflict resolution strategies in the workplace will help maintain a healthy work environment. Conflict resolution requires specific leadership skills, problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
Conflict resolution through strategic negotiation can be good for all parties involved. Often, each side will get more by participating in negotiations than they would by walking away, and it can be a way for the group to get resources that might otherwise be out of reach.
The aim of this training is to introduce conflict resolution techniques and strategies that managers and team leaders can effectively utilize when managing conflict in the workplace.
